.IM is the official extension of the Isle of Man.

Where is this, you ask?

It is actually in Europe, between England and Ireland. An earth strip of less than 600km² (just 6 times the size of Paris, France), inhabited by about 80 000 souls (30 times less than Paris, France). Even though this country is under the authority of the British Kingdom, they have their own government, and their own language!

The extension, often used for Instant Message services, is open to all with no restrictions.
